April Favorites

Hi guys! I'm a wee bit late with my April Favorites, but I have been a little busy lately. You know how it is. Anyway, here are a few items I've rounded up that I just can't get enough of right now!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

First, I want to talk about my new favorite base product in the whole wide world. I'll do a full post about this at another time, but you should just know that the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer is possibly the best makeup product to ever grace my face. I don't want to give too much away, or else there will be no point in reading my review later. This is on the fuller coverage end of the foundation spectrum, but not matte and drying like other full coverage foundations. It covers everything, but is so beautiful and luminous, I could just die. Ok, that's all I'm saying... for now ;)

Next up, a product I mix with my Kevyn Aucoin SSE, Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector in the shade Opal. This is a gorgeous highlighter that actually warms up my corpse skin! It gives me that ever so saught after "lit from within" glow. It's not actually "shimmery" like the name might have you believe. Well, actually, one time, I applied this to my face before my foundation, instead of mixing it in, and it did look pretty shimmery. So, I just mix a little in and BAM! Gorgeous, glowy, warm skin :)

Another product I have been loving on my face is Stila's Convertible Color in the shade Gladiola. I saw this on Essie Button's blog and just had to have it. At first, I wondered if this peachy, orangey, corally shade would look garish on my pale skin, but it actually looks lovely! It's perfect for Spring, and a nice change up from my usual bright pink cheeks. This blends beautifully (with the help of my Real Techniques Expert Face brush) and actually lasts quite a long time. I really only use this on my cheeks, as it looked a little odd on my lips (imagine a child with spaghetti sauce stained lips).

Next, I have been all about the new Diorshow Iconic Overcurl mascara! You can read my full review with photos, here. This mascara gives me the prettiest, most fluttery, volumized lashes! They are nice and black, and the curl holds most of the day. Also, I have not noticed any smudging or budging :)

The nail polish gracing my nails through much of April was YSL's Jade Imperial. Now this is only a favorite because of the lovely grey/blue/green color. I am not, by any means, going to rave about the lasting power of this nail polish. It started chipping after maybe a day. Very disappointed by that aspect, seeing as this was probably $25, but the color is gorgeous! Also, I do like the packaging quite a bit. I think YSL products always feel pretty luxurious. Also, I like the wider brush of the YSL nail polishes (I only own two, both chip really easily). If I'm not mistaken, this one was limited edition.

Last, my favorite scent! Marc Jacobs Oh Lola is one of the sexiest scents I have ever experienced. It's one of those warm, flirtatious scents that just instantly makes you feel more confident. According to Sephora's site, it has notes of raspberry, vanilla, peony, pear, and cyclaman. Not too sure what cyclaman is, but it must smell damn good. I am getting to the bottom of the bottle and will I repurchase? Hell to the yeah!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

What products have you swooning right now? Have you used any of these? I'd love to know how they worked for you!

Also, I don't think I have a link up yet, but if you'd like, you can follow Dressing Room Diaries on Facebook here! Or on Twitter @drssingrmdiary :) Thanks for reading! Hope you have the best weekend!
