Ok, so no, I did not wear frosty 90's lipstick today. It just looks like that in the photo above, probably because of the flash on the camera? I guess this is what I get for trying to venture away from red and bright fuschia lipsticks.
Being a glasses wearer, I tend to focus on making my lips stand out, as my eye makeup often gets lost behind my giant, thick framed glasses. However, when I do bother with my eyes, it's usually limited to a few products. A MAC paint pot as a base, a lighter, shimmery shade all over the lid, and a darker, bronzey shadow in the crease. I blend that slightly above the crease, so it's actually visible over the fat flaps I've got for eyelids. Then, I use a MAC 219 brush to draw a precise line in an attempt to create some shape to my eye. I blend the edges of the crease shadow with a matte, vanilla shade, add some mascara and blush, et voila. A simple, presentable look. Nothing too glamorous. Just something to get me out the door looking polished (kind of?) and put together.
